So football is officially over, it's 2009 and we have about 60 days or so until our first practice. After the depressing end to our Spring 08' season and a lack of enthusiasm in the fall, times are a changin' on the Bombsquad front. I was so annoyed at how spring ball ended that I had absolutely no desire to update this site and finish the stats

Bombsquad Makes First Ever In Season Trade

In a stunning move, Bombsquad GM Darren Valdes traded infielder Eric Oppenheim to Cobra Kai for a right fielder and a pair of nunchucks to be named later. Valdes said about the trade, "Well, we're obviously sad to lose a fixture of our franchise, but we were looking to go in another direction. And I needed new nunchucks." Oppenheim was hitting .381 at the time of the trade with one longball and six RBI.

Johnny Goes BOOM!

Bombsquad first baseman, John Bladel, powered the Bombsquad to two victories this weekend. Blaze went a combined 6-6, and probably had a bunch of RBIs, but I'm too lazy to find the score book to check.

For those of you interested, here's what Blaze had to eat last night:

1 22 oz glass of Sam Adams Summer Ale
1 glass of Pinot Nior wine
A handful of bread (seeds removed) and cheese dipping (tomatoes removed) appetizer
1 Shrimp Scampi on bread appetizer (seeds/tomatoes removed)
1 Salad, had to pick the tomatoes out even though we told Edwardo (our waiter) not to put them in.
1 Lobster and Pasta dish (main course)
1 Andes Mountain Mint.

If you are in a slump, follow this suggested meal plan and you will go 6-6 next weekend.

    Everything is right on the money except I gave my andes mint to kristen and she ate it.
