2009 Offseason Update

Offseason Notes

So football is officially over, it's 2009 and we have about 60 days or so until our first practice. Bombsquad Makes First Ever In Season Trade

In a stunning move, Bombsquad GM Darren Valdes traded infielder Eric Oppenheim to Cobra Kai for a right fielder and a pair of nunchucks to be named later. Obtained exclusively by this Bombsquad reporter, we have learned that the oft celebrated Bombsquad softball team has released its 2009 roster;

Bladel, John - 1B
Hirschberg, Dave - P, 3B
Lima, Chris - SF, OF, Utillity
Lima's Friend - ???
Oppenheim, Brad - SS
Oppenheim, Eric - C, 2B
Pascale, Chris - SF, ??
Pascale, Joe - CF, C
Reilly, George - 3B, LF
Rizzo, Mike - LF, P
Valdes, Darren - RF, CF

New to the Bombsquad is North Rocklander John Fuhrman. Fuhrman (aka Fuhrmanator) is a left handed lefty hitting outfielder/first basemen who has decent speed and extrodinary baseball knowledge.

So, no, you won't have to teach him how to run the bases, and he knows that there's no such thing as a safety bag in the major leagues.

Unretiring from retirement is fan favorite Dave Hirschberg who will compete with Gold Glove winner Mike Rizzo for the Number 1 slot in the rotation.
