So football is officially over, it's 2009 and we have about 60 days or so until our first practice. After the depressing end to our Spring 08' season and a lack of enthusiasm in the fall, times are a changin' on the Bombsquad front. I was so annoyed at how spring ball ended that I had absolutely no desire to update this site and finish the stats

Bombsquad Makes First Ever In Season Trade

In a stunning move, Bombsquad GM Darren Valdes traded infielder Eric Oppenheim to Cobra Kai for a right fielder and a pair of nunchucks to be named later. Valdes said about the trade, "Well, we're obviously sad to lose a fixture of our franchise, but we were looking to go in another direction. And I needed new nunchucks." Oppenheim was hitting .381 at the time of the trade with one longball and six RBI.

The Bombsquad dropped their first two games of the season today, losing two games to the Red Rock Cafe softball team.
Outside of great hitting from Brad and Corey, Bombsquad and company looked a little rusty after a long winter layoff.
Chris Rastelli and Justin Bonita both enjoyed solid days in their Bombsquad debut.
Hopefully they don't think this is how every week winds up.
